Although we have failed to achieve the independence we all wanted, there are still a number of important issues that need to be resolved in respect of the lease and the Scheme itself. It is necessary to complete this legal process as we have the opportunity to put forward proposals that will provide greater protection for the futures of the Lytham Schools Foundation and the new school. It is likely that the Tribunal will make a decision on our proposals to the Scheme and the lease over the coming weeks. As soon as we have details of the outcome we will publish in full on this website.
With the exception of the publication of the final ruling the core team has agreed that we will not publish any other articles on this website nor will we be publishing any more comments.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the campaign for their hard work, support and generosity.
I would particularly like to thank our solicitor, David Coupe, who continues to support us to the end of the legal process.
I’m sorry that we could not deliver the independent school we wanted. It is now time to move on.
For those staying at KEQMS please put the same effort into supporting the new school as you did into this campaign. I’m certain that parents can make a real difference to the future ethos and management of the school.
